Warranty Information and Claims Procedure

Recoturbo offers a full 12-month warranty from the date of purchase to the original purchaser for the repair and replacement of their remanufactured turbocharger. Provided that the turbo has been fitted in accordance with the vehicle manufacturers and Recoturbo fitting instructions. Proof and date of original purchase will be required before the warranty claim can be considered.

Turbos being returned to Recoturbo under a warranty claim must be returned complete, any attempts to dismantle and repair the unit will invalidate the warranty.

The warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of the turbocharger, the warranty does not cover cost of any labour or materials required to remove and refit the turbocharger.

No liability will be accepted if the turbocharger boost settings have been changed to outside the figures recommended by the original vehicle manufacturer or any device is used to modify them. The boost setting must always be checked after fitting to comply with this warranty.

Proof, in the form of receipts, may be required to verify proper vehicle maintenance has been carried out as per manufacturers recommendations. Particular attention should be paid to the vehicle's oil and filter changes. Failure to comply with manufacturers service requirements invalidates this warranty.

Although sympathetic to every warranty claim, only turbos which fail due to defective workmanship or parts are warrantable. Failures due to circumstances or conditions outside our control cannot be accepted under the Recoturbo warranty. To this end Recoturbo recommend that your turbocharger is fitted by someone possessing the necessary expertise and knowledge to do so. Incorrect fitting, poor engine maintenance and condition, insufficient oil or air filtration could all lead to a rejection of your warranty claim.

If you wish to make a warranty claim please call us on 01302 595 123. A thorough examination of all turbo components will be carried out before a decision is made on the validity of the warranty and where applicable a report will be issued on the condition of the turbocharger which will indicate the reason for premature failure.

If a claim goes unresolved a third-party independent engineers report may be recommended. If we have a disagreement about the warranty which we are unable to resolve Recoturbo will abide by the decision of an agreed arbitrator.

Rebuild Turbochargers

Where repair work is carried out on a customer's own turbocharger, the warranty is limited to the parts supplied and the workmanship involved in the repair. This warranty shall not exceed 12 months.

This Supplier Warranty is in addition to any statutory rights which you may be entitled to exercise as a consumer.

Returning Special Order Items

If you wish to return a specially ordered item(s), including but not limited to brand-new OEM components, you can do so within the first 30 days from the invoice date.  Each special order item is subject to a restock and handling charge of 25% of the original (excluding VAT) invoice amount (with a minimum charge of £60+VAT).  In the case of us recommending a product and it being the incorrect part, this fee will not apply.
